How to reach Humbhaha Wild Retreat
From Colombo
Approximately 5-6 hours drive via the Southern Expressway and A2 highway. Take the Kataragama exit and follow signs to Yala National Park.
From Galle
Approximately 3-4 hours drive via the A2 coastal highway. Continue past Hambantota and follow signs to Kataragama and Yala National Park.
From Ella
Approximately 2-3 hours drive through scenic mountain roads. Head south towards Wellawaya, then continue to Kataragama and Yala.

What is the best time to visit?
The best time for wildlife viewing at Yala National Park is during the dry season (February to July). However, we are open year-round and each season offers its own unique experience.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all accommodations and common areas. However, please note that due to our remote location, the connection may occasionally be slower than in urban areas.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 1-2 months in advance, especially during the peak season (December to March). For Yala safaris, booking 24 hours in advance is required.
